I thought it would be nice to share a heart warming story with you this morning to combat the continuous barrage of negativity circulating at the moment!
It concerns my young nephew Joel. He lives in London, has only just turned 14 and is a pleasant, polite and earnest young lad. He is always looking for and willing to help anybody in need and a few weeks ago he asked if I would mind if he set up a stall in his school in throughout October to raise funds for the Emily Collins School. Of course I said yes and we discussed some resources he could offer in return for donations. Well, many people offer to help but stall (please excuse the pun) at the first sign of difficulty or resistance but not Joel! Despite huge obstacles which emerged to scupper his plans he persevered and even when some access routes were suddenly closed to him he found a way to maximise the opportunities at the exits!
What determination and commitment. He has managed to make a significant contribution by raising funds and and even bigger impact on raising awareness of the project!
I am humbled by your efforts and I am happy to ‘take my hat off to you!’ Well done Joel and thank you from the children in Kisoro who will benefit from your endeavours. Blessings from Uncle Steve ❤️
