Amazing ‘Hair Sacrifice!’

Nov 13, 2021 | Building the Emily Collins School - Latest news

So far, young Blake Collins, my grandson and Emily’s nephew, has raised over £900 for the Emily Collins School by having his hair cut off and donating it to the Little Princess Trust. There it will be turned into a wig for a child with cancer. It was quite a morning, with Blake being very excited to donate his hair to a charity close to his heart! Mum, Sophie and Dad, Andrew were very supportive even though Blake had never had his hair cut short before.  Here are some photos of the complicated process of ensuring his hair is the right length for the wigmakers to use, well done Chloe for being so patient and generous!

What a fantastic effort and, indeed, achievement from an 8 year old! We can rest assured that our youngsters will achieve great things in
their lifetime!
A big thank you to Sharon, Chloe and Maddie the wonderful girls at Gentlemen’s League Barbers in Totton – You were great!
A huge thank you to all of the donors who have supported young Blake in his ‘hair sacrifice’
Could Blake make it to the magical £1000? I hope so! If you’d like to help please go to the store here on the website to donate!
