A very quick update from Martin shows that the builders are ‘gradually getting there’ and by that I don’t mean they are going slowly but because this final L shaped part of building the base for the first floor is such a challenge. It is difficult because it is being built manually not using cranes, in truth, the guys are very rarely using any form mechanical assistance but continue to work with strength, commitment, determination and a great deal of skill. However, when completed, this will act as the roof for the ground floor and will enable Benon and the team to push on with fitting out the electrical and plumbing arrangements and, indeed, plastering whilst they look to make the windows and doors etc.
How exciting to witness such progress. To see such an amazing building emerging is so encouraging not only for us but for the people in the area around Kisoro. It is even more of an achievement when we remember that it has been funded solely by individuals with open and generous hearts not with government aid or corporate sponsorship. So, on behalf of Martin Duhimbaze, founder of Our Father’s House Ministries, our team of builders working under Benon and the children who will soon be benefitting from this new kindergarten school, nursery, infirmary and community centre I thank you for your financial, physical and prayerful support.
We’ve still got a long way to go, so please keep thinking of us, supporting us and, if it is your thing, praying for us! Thank you!
