Day 6#20 Remaining in the Mindo area of Ecuador today with this hummingbird before we move on to Europe tomorrow! The few days we spent in Mindo were so inspiring, there really is a high concentration of beautiful birds this area. Not surprising really as Ecuador is 5th in the world’s league table of countries with the most birds species (1622).Deciding where to point the camera was a challenge believe me but in this case I think I got the decision ‘spot on’. It is such a beautiful bird. In fact, we thought that this Violet long-tailed Sylph was so dramatic looking we chose it for the front cover of our exotic bird calendar for 2020. We had lots of positive feedback, so much so that I had to include it in this pack of 20 greeting cards. I hope you like it as much as we do…
