In 2013, Martin Duhimbaze and his co-founders of Our Father’s House Ministries offered their personal homes to 8 desperate children living on the streets of Rukingiri, Uganda where our daughter Emily Collins was working as a volunteer.
Since then OFHM has reached out to many hundreds of children, some orphaned, some suffering abuse, many with psychosocial needs too.
Our Father’s House Ministries continues to save more children but their needs have grown too. So much so that it is now building a kindergarten school with a children’s infirmary and community hall to rescue even more children from the streets. Emily died in August 2017 aged 26 and in memory of Emily’s commitment and efforts OFHM has decided to call their new kindergarten project ‘The Emily Collins School’.
